The coordinated effort involves the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, the U.S. Department of Justice, and federal prosecutors from both of Missouri’s judicial districts. Its objective is to identify fraudulent activity, investigate suspected wrongdoing, prosecute offenders, and strengthen safeguards protecting billions of dollars distributed through government assistance programs.
